Somonauk, who finished second to Waterman in the regular season standings, won the first LTC Tournament in the school’s
history and broke a string of three consecutive championships by Waterman. The Bobcats defeated Earlville (38-24), Waterman
(25-23) and Shabbona (31-21) in the finals. Waterman's loss to Somonauk was thier first defeat of the season. Shabbona
got by Rollo, Hinckley and Leland to reach the championship contest at Somonauk.
Waterman regrouped to triumph over Leland 47-21 in the third place game.
