In his last season as Waterman's head coach before moving on to Paris High School, Ernie Eveland helped lead his Waterman lads to thier seventh straight Little Ten Conference Tournament Title.

Waterman defeated Paw Paw

Leland defeated Rollo

Shabbona defeated Earlville (Cons.)

Sheridan defeated Plano (Cons.)

Day Four:

Sheridan 28, Shabbona 25 (Consolation Championship)

Rollo 37, Paw Paw 24 (Third Place Game)

Waterman 34, Leland 17 (Championship Game)

POST SEASON  

Waterman went on to capture a district tournament as they won over:

Malta (51-14) {Oleson 14 points, Carlson 10}

Kirkland (37-15) {Oleson 12 points, Carlson and Jennings six each}

Leland (41-29) {Oleson 15 points, Hagen and Jennings nine each} 

and finally

DeKalb (33-26). 

They then lost to Gardner in thier first game of regionals.
